ABOUT ANDRE FOULKS

I’m Andre — educator, mentor, and founder of Liberate by Design. I’ve spent the last decade working in public and charter schools nationwide, using education for healing, growth, and liberation. Right now, I teach high school history, but my classroom is more than just a place to learn facts — it’s a space where students are seen, heard, and empowered to lead. My work centers on creating trauma-informed learning environments, rooted in equity, and designed to help students thrive.
 

Through Liberate by Design, I partner with schools and organizations to rethink curriculum, amplify student voice, and build spaces where every learner feels like they belong. I also serve as a mentor and life skills coach with Youth Development Inc. (YDI), supporting young people as they navigate who they are and who they’re becoming in a world that doesn’t always make it easy.
